Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when Aquara issues a refund for a paid subscription. It supplements Section 4 of our Terms of Service and forms part of the agreement between you and Aquara — where the two differ, this page controls on refund-specific questions.

1.General policy

Subscription payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. You can cancel a paid plan at any time — see Section 4 of the Terms of Service — and you keep paid-plan access through the end of the period you already paid for, but we do not refund that period.

This reflects how the Service is billed: a recurring monthly (or otherwise agreed) charge through Stripe, with no per-use metering, so a partial period still had full access available to it.

2.When we do refund

We will refund a charge when:

  • It was a duplicate or erroneous charge — for example, you were billed twice for the same billing period, or charged after a subscription you had already cancelled;
  • It was caused by a billing error on our side — for example, the wrong plan or price was applied to your account; or
  • Applicable law requires it in your jurisdiction.

Outside of these cases, we do not offer refunds for a change of mind, underuse, or dissatisfaction with the business-intelligence data surfaced by the Service (see Section 5 of the Terms of Service on data accuracy).

A design-partnership or other retainer arranged directly with our team is refunded, if at all, according to the terms agreed with you at the time.

3.How to request a refund

Email admin@aquara.ai with the email address on your Aquara account and the date and amount of the charge (from your card statement or Stripe receipt email). We aim to respond within 5 business days.

An approved refund is issued to your original payment method through Stripe. It can take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.

4.Before disputing a charge with your bank

If a charge looks wrong, please contact us first at admin@aquara.ai — most billing issues are duplicate charges or a cancellation that didn't go through, and we can usually resolve those directly and faster than a bank dispute. Repeated chargebacks without contacting us first may result in suspension of your account, as described in Section 8 of the Terms of Service.

5.Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy as Aquara's plans and billing evolve. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
